Christie: 3 questions drive decision on campaign

WASHINGTON (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie says he hasn’t decided yet whether he’ll run for president.

But he says in a nationally broadcast interview that his decision will hang on the answers he gives himself to three critical questions.

Christie says he’ll have to answer “yes” to the questions of whether the move is right for himself, right for his family and right for the country.

He tells CBS News in the interview that if the answer is “yes” to all three questions, he’ll run. He adds that if the answer is “no” to any of the three, he won’t.

Christie does say he hopes to make his decision early next year.

He was interviewed in his home state of New Jersey, where he was appearing at a conference on drug addiction.
