WISE, Va. (AP) -- Organizers of a free health care clinic in Wise County are advising patients to be prepared for heat and long lines.
The 14th annual Remote Area Medical clinic is expected to draw about 3,000 patients. The three-day clinic begins Friday and runs through Sunday at the Wise County Fairgrounds in Wise.
Organizer Teresa Gardner tells the Bristol Herald Courier (http://bit.ly/13m6uvj ) that people should bring sunscreen and be hydrated because the lines could be long.
Treatment is provided by volunteer medical, dental and vision professionals on a first-come, first-served basis.
