CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Harris Teeter has pulled a berry blend from its store shelves in light of an investigation into an outbreak of hepatitis A linked to the product.
A statement from the store Tuesday said Harris Teeter Organics Antioxidant Berry Blend supplied by Townsend Farms, Inc. is being taken off the shelves because the Food and Drug Administration is investigating an outbreak of Hepatitis A linked to the frozen organic berry blend.
The product carries the UPC number 7203670463. It carries code dates of T041613C and T041613E.
Harris Teeter asks that customers discard the product or return it to the store for a full refund.
