DOVER, Del. (AP) — While gambling industry officials are asking Delaware lawmakers for financial help, a company controlled by Delaware Park owner Bill Rickman owes more than $5,000 in delinquent business taxes.

According to the Delaware Division of Revenue, Rickman Management LLC owes the state $5,057.37 in back taxes, penalties and interest.

Court records show that officials won a court judgment against the company in July 2013 for unpaid withholding taxes dating to 2009, but officials apparently have been unable to collect.

Rickman did not immediately return a telephone message left with his Rockville, Maryland-based company.

Rickman told members of Delaware’s gambling study commission earlier this month that he hopes they consider reducing the state’s share of table game revenue as a way of providing financial relief for Delaware’s three casinos.
