WASHINGTON - Federal prosecutors say a Texas woman has pleaded guilty to bribery for fraudulently billing the U.S. Army for trucking services in Afghanistan.
Twenty-nine-year-old Diyana Montes of Houston entered the plea Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Washington.
According to court documents, Montes worked at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, for a private contractor. Prosecutors say Montes passed along for payment service claims for trucking services that were not provided.
Authorities say Montes received about $50,000 in bribes.
