1 dead after Prince William Parkway two-vehicle crash

WASHINGTON — One person is dead and another is injured after a crash that closed a part of the Prince William Parkway early Tuesday morning.

The two-vehicle crash happened on the Prince William Parkway near Crooked Knoll Way in Manassas at about 2 a.m. The crash closed some of the lanes of the parkway. All lanes reopened by 8:30 a.m.

Emergency crews pulled a body through the roof of one of the vehicles, says police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

One person died following the crash and another person sustained serious injuries,Perok adds.

Officials have not yet released the name of the person who died.

Also, police have not yet said what caused the crash.
