WOODBRIDGE, Va. (AP) -- Prince William County police are identifying a Woodbridge woman who was hit by a car that veered off the road.

Police said Monday that 58-year-old Zenaida Ines Jimenez was walking her dog on Saturday when the 21-year-old driver of a BMW 328i lost control on Old Bridge Road. Police say the car went off the road and hit Jimenez, who was walking on the sidewalk. She was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later. Her dog was not hurt.

Police say speed, alcohol and drug use are not believed to be factors in the crash. Police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok says no charges have been filed, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
