MANASSAS, Va. (AP) -- Officials say a small plane crashed and overturned on a runway at the Manassas Regional Airport.

No one was injured in the crash, which occurred about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

City of Manassas spokeswoman Patty Prince says one person was on board the single engine Cessna 172 when it crashed on landing.

The plane came to a stop upside down on the side of the runway, with minimal damage.

Virginia State Police say the pilot, 35-year-old Sahel Bader (sah-HEEL' bah-DEER') of Fairfax, was practicing takeoffs and landings and when the crash occurred.
