Chemical odor closes Signal Bay Water Park

MANASSAS PARK, Va. - The pool at Signal Bay Water Park will remain closed until it can be inspected. The park was evacuated Saturday afternoon because of a chemical odor that made people ill.
Life guards at the water park detected a chemical odor coming from the water and noticed a yellow patch of water.

One child complained of breathing problems and was treated by a lifeguard. Manassas Park Police say six swimmers were taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
Manassas Park Fire Department, Police Department, Lake Jackson Volunteer Fire Department, and Prince William Fire Department Hazmat Team responded to the pool.
Inside NoVa reports there was a small chemical leak found inside the park.
