Driver sought after hitting pedestrian in Ashburn

ASHBURN, Va. - The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is searching for a driver who left the scene of a pedestrian accident in Ashburn Thursday.

A 55-year-old woman was struck trying to cross the Gloucester Parkway in the area of Ashby Ponds Boulevard around 7:20 p.m. The pedestrian was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital with serious injuries.

The woman was struck by a small, four-door car. The driver was described as a male.

The car likely has damage to the front-end passenger side and the undercarriage.
