Police: 37-year-old Va. man found in Georgia

WASHINGTON -- A Virginia man who was thought to be missing for five days has been located.

Terence S. Dougherty made himself known to officials in Georgia. The Fairfax County Police Department was informed Dec. 8.

WASHINGTON -- A 37-year-old Virginia man is reported missing and Fairfax County police are asking for the public's help in finding him.

Terence S. Dougherty left his home on the 7500 block of Grey Goose Way around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a Fairfax County news release. Police say his recent behavior raised concerns about his mental health and physical well-being.

Dougherty is 6-feet-2 inches tall and weighs about 215 pounds. He has brown, close- cut hair and hazel eyes. He has a tattoo that looks like ocean waves on his left. He might be wearing jeans and carrying a black backpack and a blue gym bag.

The release says Dougherty drives a gold Hyundai Sonata with Texas tags. He is known to frequent Suitland, Md.
