RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Software provider Cvent Inc. is moving to new headquarters in Fairfax County, creating 400 jobs and retaining 450 others.
Gov. Bob McDonnell on Wednesday said the company will lease about 130,000 square feet of space in Tysons Corner and plans to invest $7 million to expand its headquarters operations.
The company plans to move from McLean in the latter half of 2014.
Cvent develops cloud-based software for online event registration, venue selection, event management, mobile apps for events, e-mail marketing, and web surveys. It went public in August.
McDonnell approved a $1 million grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund for the project.
