Police: Alexandria man at large after attempted rape of 11-year-old

WASHINGTON – Alexandria police are searching for a man wanted in an attempted rape of a juvenile earlier this week.

Alfaro Estanislao, a 60-year-old Alexandria resident, sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl inside a residence in the 3900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue on Wednesday, according to police.

Estanislao fled the scene before officials arrived.

Estanislao is not related to the girl, but he does know her family, according to Alexandria police.

Estanislao is a Hispanic man, who is about a 5 foot-4. He is 150 pounds and has brown eyes and “salt and pepper hair,” police say.

He is known to frequent the Arlandria area of Alexandria.
