Thursday - 6/16/2011, 5:06pm  ET

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - An Alexandria City Public Schools teacher has been indicted on multiple child pornography charges, the second area educator to face child porn charges in as many days.

Justin Coleman was indicted by a grand jury Thursday on two counts of producing, two counts of attempting to produce, one count of receiving and one count of possessing modified child pornography.

Coleman, 35, worked as a fourth-grade dual-language teacher at John Adams Elementary School before being arrested on April 6.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Coleman created videos in which he caused two female minors - who were unaware at the time - to engage in sexually explicit conduct. The indictment also says Coleman attempted to produce videos with seven additional juvenile females, including two who were students of his while working at a summer camp in Italy in 2010.

Coleman is also alleged to have altered existing images to depict former female students from Japan and Alexandria in sexually explicit acts.

If convicted, Coleman faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years for each production or attempted production charge, a maximum of 10 years for the possession of modified images charge and a mandatory minimum of five years for the receiving charge.

Wednesday, an assistant principal at a Fauquier County elementary school was arrested after authorities say he shared explicit images with an undercover officer in a chat room and boasted about sexual encounters with children.

In the last two months, five teachers in Prince William County schools have been charged with having sexual relations with students.
