Meredith Janick has been trying to log onto the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange since October.

WASHINGTON — Marylandhealthconnection.gov isn’t without glitches as many potential users are having problems signing onto the website.

Meredith Janick lives in Damascus, Md. and has been trying to get onto the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange since Obamacare launched in October.

She says her son has ADHD and “we still haven’t been able to get him his medication and then I have rheumatoid arthritis and that requires Methotrexate, which is a cancer drug and it’s very expensive.”

Janick says her previous insurer dropped her because of her pre-existing condition. Obamacare promises not to do that but marylandhealthconnection.gov will not currently accept her username and password. Resetting it doesn’t help.

In a statement sent to WTOP, the Maryland Health Department says, “Our IT team has been working around the clock to address the technological issues still affecting Maryland Health Connection. While we have made significant progress, we know that challenges remain. As we learn of specific user problems, we are working to address them as quickly as possible.”
