Vigil set for 2-year-old who died in Va.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A candlelight vigil is planned in Richmond for a 2-year-old who died of blunt-force trauma to the abdomen.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/1ugGqNG ) the vigil is planned to honor the life of O’ustin Spratley. The vigil is planned for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the home of the child’s mother.

A funeral for the child is planned for Wednesday.

The newspaper reports that 43-year-old Kevin Webb has been charged with felony child abuse and malicious wounding in the case.

Police say he was babysitting the child when the incident occurred. The child was taken to a hospital with bruises and a broken rib, and later died.
