2 arrested in deaths of Henry County siblings

AXTON, Va. (AP) — Police have arrested two men in the shooting deaths of two Henry County brothers.

Media outlets report 24-year-old Jonathan Rivera-Olvera of Fieldale and 33-year-old James Travis Moore of Ridgeway were arrested this week.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says Rivera-Olvera is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and Moore faces one count of first-degree murder. Both also face a firearms charge.

The bodies of 40-year-old Alfonso Navarro-Pena and 33-year-old Noel Navarro-Pena were found last month. Police say they lived at the same residence in Axton.

Sheriff Lane Perry says investigators believe the slayings are drug-related.
