Woman sexually assaulted at Jiffy Lube Live concert

WASHINGTON — A 49-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at a concert at Jiffy Lube Live on June 22, police say.

The woman told the Prince William police that she fell asleep on the lawn at the Bristow, Virginia, venue around 8:30 p.m., a news release from the police says. When she awoke, an unknown man was lying next to her and touching her inappropriately, the release says.

The suspect, Benjamin Chisolm, 19, of Davidsonville, Maryland, walked away from the victim and was later detained on an unrelated matter for being publicly intoxicated, the release states. Chisolm was then charged with aggravated sexual battery.

Chisolm is a University of Maryland lacrosse player, ABC7 reports. They say the university said in a statement, “We are aware of the reported incident regarding one of our student-athletes. The university takes these matters very seriously and will cooperate with authorities during their investigation.”

The Zac Brown Band headlined Jiffy Lube Live on June 22.
