RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Virginia's Civil War history lesson on wheels is making a stop in Richmond to mark Civil War & Emancipation Day.

Officials say the Civil War 150 HistoryMobile will be in Richmond on Saturday at the Lumpkin's Jail site near 14th and Main streets. Admission is free.

The 18-wheel expandable tractor trailer uses exhibit spaces to present individual stories of the Civil War from the perspective of those who experienced. That includes free and enslaved, soldier and civilian.

The HistoryMobile's visit coincides with events and access to more than 25 sites and activity centers in the area on Saturday. Information can be found at

The HistoryMobile made its debut in 2011 at Manassas National Battlefield. Since then some 130,000 visitors have enjoyed the mobile museum.
