GLADE SPRING, Va. (AP) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office says four people are dead and one injured following a shooting at a home in Glade Spring.
Authorities identified the suspected shooter as 44-year-old Kevin Dale Palmer. He was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound early Tuesday.
Media outlets report that Palmer broke into his in-laws' house where his wife and son were staying when an argument erupted.
Both Palmer and his 74-year-old mother-in-law, Nancy Griffin, were found dead. Palmer's 46-year-old wife, Kristen, and her 17-year-old son, Griffin, were found in critical condition and later died.
Kristen Palmer's father, 75-year-old Terry Griffin, was listed in fair condition at Bristol Regional Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities believe the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute between Kristen and Kevin Palmer.
