Monday - 11/11/2013, 5:09pm  ET

DINWIDDIE, Va. (AP) -- Fire officials in Dinwiddie say two people have died in a house fire.

WWBT-TV (http://bit.ly/1bl0bbN) reports the fire started shortly after noon Monday in the single-story home in Dinwiddie. Firefighters had to bring in water by truck to fire the blaze, which took two hours to bring under control.

The bodies have been sent to a medical examiner's office. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Dinwiddie Fire Chief Dennis Hale didn't immediately return a telephone message Monday.
