CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Virginia is running out of time to turn its season around.
The Cavaliers (2-4, 0-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) host Duke on Saturday, and beating the Blue Devils (4-2, 0-2) has proven more challenging for Virginia than for most other ACC programs.
The Blue Devils are seeking their fifth win against Virginia in their last six meetings. They're also looking to move one victory away from being bowl eligible for the second consecutive season, which would be a program first.
Cavaliers coach Mike London says his team is improving week by week, and did everything but win last weekend at Maryland. The Cavaliers missed a go-ahead 42-yard field goal in the final minute.
Duke coach David Cutcliffe says the Blue Devils understand the challenge of beating Virginia at home.
