FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) -- The University of Mary Washington is hosting a two-day conference on James Monroe.
The event will take place Oct. 18 and 19 on university's campus in Fredericksburg. It will examine the life, legacy and interpretation of the fifth U.S. president through eight lectures and presentations by several scholars.
The event is free and open to the public.
