NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- A former probation officer and her husband have pleaded guilty to a federal methamphetamine charge.
Prosecutors say 43-year-old Charles M. Kephart of Norfolk pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in Norfolk to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine.
His wife, Katherine M. Kephart, is a former Virginia Beach state probation officer. She pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge last month.
Both face up to 40 years in prison and are scheduled to be sentenced in December.
