FERNCLIFF, Va. (AP) - Patriot Aluminum is moving its headquarters from Albemarle County to Louisa County.
The new 30,000-square-foot facility will be located in the Ferncliff Business Park about a half-mile from Interstate 64. The existing headquarters is in Earlysville.
The Daily Progress (http://bit.ly/16BEpQe ) reports that the company broke ground for the new $1.5 million headquarters last week. It's expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Patriot Aluminum manufactures rigid aluminum conduit that's used in facilities where corrosion is a concern, such as industrial, chemical and food manufacturing.
The company also has facilities in n Atlanta; Chicago; Houston; Louisville, Ky.; New Orleans; New Jersey; Tampa, Fla.; and Phoenix.
