RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Richmond International Airport experienced a dip in passenger traffic in June.
The airport saw 291,952 passengers in February, down 1 percent from 294,986 in June 2012.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/157VgNv) reports that the Capital Region Airport Commission released the figures Tuesday.
For the fiscal year that ended June 30, passenger traffic at the airport decreased nearly 1 percent to 3.16 million passengers compared with the prior fiscal year.
Air cargo increased 16.6 percent to 9.85 million pounds in June from the same period a year ago, while cargo increased 13.4 percent in the 2013 fiscal year.
