WINCHESTER, Va. (AP) -- Sixty soldiers from the Winchester area who were killed during the Korean War are being honored with a new memorial.
The 10-foot granite monument is located in Jim Barnett Park in Winchester.
The Winchester Star (http://bit.ly/13wWhMQ ) reports that the Shenandoah Valley Chapter 313 of the Korean War Veterans Association unveiled the monument Saturday during a dedication ceremony.
Winchester Mayor Elizabeth Minor says the soldiers' sacrifices are a reminder of the cost of freedom.
