LAKE ANNA, Va. (AP) -- A man has died after two jet skis collided on Lake Anna.
Virginia Department of Game and inland Fisheries spokesman Ron Messina says the 23-year-old man was killed when a jet ski driven by his 19-year-old brother launched into the air and struck the other man, causing a head injury. Both men had been jumping waves behind a pontoon boat.
Media outlets report the incident happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday near the Dukes Creek Marina. People on a pontoon boat helped get the victim to shore.
The 23-year-old was taken to Mary Washington Hospital, where he later died. Police have not released his name.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
