FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) - Fredericksburg fans and foes are getting an opportunity to speak out on a proposal to build a stadium for a minor league baseball.

The City Council has scheduled a public meeting on the matter for Tuesday night.

The Class A farm team of the Washington Nationals, the Hagerstown Suns, has proposed a 30-year lease for a publicly financed stadium that would seat 5,000.

The Free Lance-Star (http://bit.ly/12lINi7) reports that the city may have to issue as much as $33 million in bonds to finance the project.

Baseball supporters are planning a rally outside City Hall before the meeting.
