RADFORD, Va. (AP) -- Radford University's Board of Visitors is scheduled to set 2013-14 tuition and fees this week.
One year ago, the board approved a 3.2 percent tuition and fee increase for in-state undergraduate students. The Roanoke Times (http://bit.ly/15iDTKC ) reports it was among the lowest approved in 2012 by a public university in Virginia.
The governor has asked public institutions of higher education to keep tuition increases for in-state students in the range of the consumer price index. It was 1.8 percent in February.
In late April, Virginia Tech's Board of Visitors approved a 4.9 percent increase for in-state undergraduates.
Radford University's full board will meet Thursday and Friday.
