TIMBERVILLE, Va. (AP) -- A Timberville woman has claimed a $2 million Powerball prize.

The Virginia Lottery says Belinda Turman bought a ticket matching the first five numbers in the April 17 Powerball drawing. Normally that would win $1 million, but Thurman spent an extra dollar for the Power Play option to double her prize.

If she had matched one more number, she would have won a jackpot estimated at $80 million.

Turman allowed the computer to pick the numbers when she bought the ticket at a Food Lion store in Timberville. She returned to the store Thursday to receive her check

Turman said she hopes to use the money to buy a new house and take care of family members.
