CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- Crews renovating the University of Virginia's Rotunda will begin removing the scaffolding this week.
Project manager Jody Lahendro tells WVIR-TV (http://bit.ly/17Mzefx ) that the project's' first phase is ahead of schedule.
Removal of scaffolding on the Rotunda's west side will begin Wednesday.
Lahendro says all the scaffolding will come down before commencement in May.
The project's first phase was scheduled to be completed in July.
The renovations included replacing the roof and oculus skylight.
