RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- A trial date has been set for a former Virginia Executive Mansion chef charged with four felony embezzlement counts.

Richmond Circuit Court records show that Todd Schneider's trial is scheduled to start July 15. A hearing on pretrial motions is set for May 2.

In March a grand jury indicted the 52-year-old Schneider, who now lives in Sarasota, Fla. The indictments allege he embezzled property valued at $200 or more from the state in July, September and December of 2011 and in January of 2012. The indictments contain no further details.

Schneider became chef at the mansion in 2010 shortly after Gov. Bob McDonnell and his family moved in. He was dismissed about a year ago after a state police inquiry began into alleged improprieties in the mansion's kitchen.
