SMITHFIELD, Va. (AP) -- An Isle of Wight couple will be sentenced in April on charges stemming from the death of their infant daughter.
Media outlets report that 23-year-old Robert Molinski faces up to 80 years in prison. Twenty-four-year- old Mary Leanne Webb faces up to 15 years in prison.
Molinski pleaded guilty Wednesday in Isle of Wight County Circuit Court to second-degree murder, child abuse and malicious wounding charges. Webb pleaded guilty to child abuse charges. They're scheduled to be sentenced April 29.
The couple's 4-month-old daughter, Piper Molinski, died in February 2012. Investigators said the baby's injuries included a skull fracture, cracked ribs, burns and bruises.
Piper's twin sister, Ella, suffered similar abuse but survived.
