Police investigate double murder in Campbell Co.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Campbell County police are investigating the slayings of an elderly couple found dead inside their home.
The Campbell County Sheriff's Office identified the victims as 73-year-old John Philbrook and his wife, 71-year- old Virginia Philbrook.
Police tell media outlets that both victims died from gunshot wounds.
Deputies went to the couple's home on Friday after neighbors requested a welfare check. Police say there weren't any signs of forced entry.
