ROANOKE, Va. - A judge has sentenced a Roanoke man to 43 years in prison for the fatal shooting of security guard.
The Roanoke Times (http://bit.ly/11pHgNZ ) reports that Gene Anthony Brown was sentenced Wednesday in Roanoke Circuit Court. He was convicted of first-degree murder and weapons charges in late November.
Prosecutors say Brown fatally shot 46-year-old Steve Orange because of a feud between the two men.
Orange's body was found in his security vehicle at the Afton Garden Apartments on July 31, 2011. He had been shot six times with a .380-caliber handgun.
