RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginia first lady Maureen McDonnell is inviting the public to celebrate the Executive Mansion's 200th birthday next month.
McDonnell said Wednesday that a birthday party will be held at the mansion on March 16. The event is free.
A documentary about the Executive Mansion, "First House," will premiere at dusk on the mansion lawn. The document was produced by Blue Ridge PBS.
Other activities include musical performances by George Dennehy and by the National Guard's 29th Division Rock Band.
