WASHINGTON - For some, the holidays can be a stressful time. For others, the season is all about having an excuse to eat and drink too much. If you fall into the latter category, then feast your eyes on this weekend's entertainment guide.
Those looking for a little liquid merriment can check out the Black Squirrel's "12 Beers of Christmas" festival in Adams Morgan. It stretches over two days, and features frothy holiday favorites like Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Bell's Christmas Ale and Blue Mountain Barrel House Blitzen. Take a day trip to Annapolis Saturday for a nautical take on a holiday lights show. The Eastport Yacht Club's lights parade decks the harbor dock with cheer. The popular D.C. Santa Crawl is returning Saturday as thousands of spirited souls join together in Dupont Circle for a night of boozing. Some of the bars are Public Bar, Irish Whiskey, Black Rooster Pub, The Bottom Line, Blackfinn and the Mighty Pint. Each bar is offering specials until 9 p.m. Donate a toy to Toys for Tots and earn one free beer at the crawl. It's $15 if you sign up online, $20 the day of the event.
For a mellow affair, head to the 17th annual Del Ray Artisans Fine Art & Fine Craft Holiday Market at the Colasanto Center in Alexandria Friday through Sunday for unique, handmade crafts from local artists.
