Road rage turns fatal when man gets run over in Va.

WASHINGTON – A road rage incident turned fatal in Manassas on Friday when one man tried to climb into another man’s car, fell, and was run over, police say.

Brian David Samf, 47, was headed west on Yates Ford Road around 4:30 p.m. in his Dodge Dakota when he began tailgating a man in a Ford F-350, whom police have not identified.

At a stoplight, Samf pulled up beside the Ford driver, got out of his car and approached the half-opened window of the Ford truck. He attempted to climb through the window and start a fight with the Ford’s driver, police say. When the Ford started to drive forward, Samf fell and was run over by the truck.

An ambulance took Samf to a nearby hospital where he died.

Police have not filed charges as they continue to investigate. Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash, police say.
