Mountaintop attraction added to Va.'s Crooked Road

WYTHEVILLE, Va. - A mountaintop attraction in southwest Virginia is now an official stop on the Crooked Road heritage music trail.

The Bluefield Daily Telegraph ( says the Big Walker Country Store and Lookout was designated as a Crooked Road Affiliated Venue on Sunday.

The country store hosts performances by musicians, mostly bluegrass, on most weekends. Crafters and artists also sell their creations there.

Stuart and Abigail Kime opened the attraction on Big Walker Mountain in 1947. It's now operated by their son, Ron Kime, and his wife, Dee.
