CHANTILLY, Va. (AP) - Mitt Romney, the Republicans' likely presidential nominee, will be in northern Virginia to campaign and raise funds.
Romney will hold a campaign event Wednesday in Chantilly, where he will be joined by Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va.
Later, he will be joined by McDonnell at a fundraiser and private dinner for donors of $50,000 or more at the Pentagon City Ritz.
McDonnell has been mentioned as a possible vice presidential candidate.
Romney's visit comes a few days after President Barack Obama and former president Bill Clinton held a large-scale fundraiser in McLean at the home of Democrat Terry McAuliffe.
