Va. inmate accused of soliciting murder

RICHMOND, Va. - A Virginia inmate has been charged with trying to have fellow gang members murdered.

Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli announced Wednesday that a Lunenburg County grand jury indicted Larog Anthony Trowell on 13 counts of soliciting murder and 13 counts of felony gang participation. If convicted of all counts, Trowell could be sentenced to up to 650 years in prison.

Cuccinelli says the 28-year-old Trowell is a leader of the Valentine Bloods gang. While an inmate at Lunenburg Correctional Facility, Trowell allegedly tried to order subordinates on the street to kill fellow gang members for what he considered acts of treason and insubordination.

According to the Department of Corrections, Trowell is now serving time at Augusta Correctional Center for forgery, eluding a police officer and other offenses.
