GARGATHA, Va. - Accomack County authorities say five people found dead a mobile home last week were shot. Two of the victims were children.
Media outlets report that the Accomack County Sheriff's Office released the names Monday. The bodies were identified as 20-year-old Zayday Reyes, 27-year-old Evelyn Colon-Matias, 10-year-old Jesus Angel Quintero-Colon, 9-year-old Ana Estefani Quintero-Colon and 37-year-old Esteban Quintero-Gonzales.
Police believe Esteban Quintero-Gonzales shot the others and then himself.
The sheriff's office says he was involved in custody hearings with Evelyn Colon-Matias, the mother of the children who were killed. He was the children's father.
Evelyn Colon-Matias and the children were staying with Reyes, who lived at the mobile home.
Deputies responding to a call of an attempted suicide in Gargatha found the bodies Thursday.
The investigation is continuing.
