HANOVER, Va. - A Hanover County woman has been charged a month after a Virginia state trooper was struck and killed while directing traffic.
State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says 27-year-old Angelica C. Valencia of Doswell was charged this week with one count of reckless driving.
Geller says Valencia was driving an SUV that struck Trooper Andrew D. Fox on Oct. 5 at an intersection along state Route 30 in Hanover County.
Fox was a Tazewell County native who was on special assignment.
