Police seek public's help in identifying body

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metropolitan police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman whose body was found in the Potomac River.

The body was found across from the 2600 block of Virginia Avenue, NW, on Nov. 1. Police say the woman is believed to be between 65 and 75 years old, and was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

Police say the cause and manner of the woman's death have not been determined.
