Backstage: Iconic ’70s band, Canadian crooner take to the stage this weekend

WASHINGTON – What’s happening in local music events this weekend? Read on for a look at the concert highlights.

Friday at Jiffy Lube Live, ’70s icon Steely Dan take the stage to perform song from their classic album, “Aja” and other hits.

Their last album, “Everything Must Go” was released in 2003, but the band has been touring to great success over the past several years.

Also scheduled for Friday at Robbie Fulks performs an acoustic set with his bluegrass quartet.

Saturday at the 9:30 Club, self-described ambient-punk rockers Deerhunter are scheduled to perform.
