Flash mob robbery, assault at SE store (Video)

WASHINGTON – A flash mob style robbery in the District on Saturday, July 20 resulted in the assault of a store owner – and police are seeking the public’s help.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the suspects entered a business on 1535 U St. SE and started stealing items, then left.

A little bit later, one of the suspects assaulted the store clerk with a piece of lumber. The individuals were captured on video.

Additionally, the clerk offered this description of the man who assaulted him: Black man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 pounds with a medium complexion. He wore a blue shirt with a Nike emblem, a short sleeved jean jacket/vest, a white sweatband on his head, knee length jean shorts and tennis shoes.
