WASHINGTON (AP) -- A barber who for 30 years has cut the hair of Congressmen and staff members at the Rayburn House Office Building has retired.

The Washington Post reports that Friday was Nurney Mason's last day. Mason's first day on the job was May 3, 1983. That made his final day also his 30th anniversary on the job. Mason's clients have included former House Speaker Tip O'Neill, New York Rep. Charlie Rangel and Michigan Rep. John Conyers Jr.

Mason says he's not retiring altogether. He still plans to cut hair for a few regulars at a shop he owns on H Street Northeast.
