Missing 6-year-old D.C. girl found in Arkansas

UPDATE: A 6-year-old girl reported missing from D.C. since Thursday night was located safe in Arkansas, police say. Eriona Birts’ father told police he hadn’t seen his daughter since the girl’s mother, an ex-girlfriend who was visiting from Arkansas, asked to take her to a grocery store.

WASHINGTON – A child is missing in the D.C. area and police seek the public’s help.

The Metropolitan Police Department says 6 year-old Eriona Birts is listed as “critically missing.” She was last seen on Thursday, Jan. 31 around 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of E Street, NE.

Eriona, a girl, is black, medium complexion with brown eyes and hair. She was last seen wearing purple pants and jacket with silver boots.

Eriona might be with a non-custodial parent and they may have left D.C.
