WASHINGTON - D.C. police say they're investigating an attack on two men as a possible hate crime.
The men were assaulted Sunday evening in the Shaw neighborhood of Northwest Washington. Police say a group of young men followed them, and the victims were called a derogatory term for gay men. Police say the victims were punched. The men posted an account of the attack on a neighborhood blog.
Police have assigned their Gay and Lesbian Liaison Unit to investigate the case.
